Era Virtual Airways continually strives to improve your experience. We have had quite a few complaints from users being unable to log flights within our acars system, VAFS. We have tried to address as many on the issues as we possibly can. Although we have fixed a few of the problems, fellow pilots are still having issues. Therfore, over the past several weeks, we have been researching a number of different acars systems to find the one that best fits our VA. After going through all the pros and cons of each system, we have decided the Smartcars system best fits our needs. We have been working on a complete rebuild of our system. Over the next week, we are having a new website built to accommodate the new acars system. It is turning up very nice and will be available soon for use by everyone. I will again email everyone once the site opens up so everyone can switch to that site.

When the new acars system opens, Eracars, we will email you again to have everyone stop using the VAFS system and switch to the new. All pilot information will transfer over including the total flights and hours. The only part of the VAFS system that will not carry over are the pireps, due to transferring issues. But rest assured, your hours will be saved, just not the detailed pireps we currently see. It will be a major improvement with many new features including a built-in chat window, flight planning, live tracking map, and much more.

We do ask that if you have stopped flying due to the old VAFS system and its numerous errors, that you please stick with us as we make the transition to the new system. We should have the whole program up with the next 30 days. This is only an estimated time frame, and is subject to delays. We will try our best to keep it limited to the 30 days. Our team is working hard to get this system up and running as fast as we can to keep everyone onboard with us.

If you have received an email for inactivity, please contact me by reply or send an email to cro@eravirtualairways.org and let me know if you have been inactive due to vafs issues. We want everyone to be able to use the new system.

We assure everyone that you will love the new setup. We are anxiously waiting its completion. In the meantime, we have temporarily suspended event flights to put our full attention on this system switch. Please don't let that discourage you in any way, we do assure that we will resume special ops event flights once the new system gets implemented and everyone has a change to get accustomed to the new acars. We appreciate everyone's patience as we work through this system swap.
