Tanana Flood Relief

The state of Alaska has called upon Era Virtual Airways to assist in flood relief in a small town of Tanana, Alaska. Tanana is located in central Alaska just a few miles north west of Fairbanks located at the fork in the Yukon River. The river is rising fast and its a matter of time before it wipes the whole city out. Era Virtual has volunteered to put 6 of our aircraft in service to help transport support crew and supplies into Tanana as well as aid in the evacuation of residents of Tanana to the three cities we will be based out of Fairbanks, Unalakleet and Aniak. Fairbanks will be flying in and out of Tanana using two Beech 1900Cs for passengers, Unalakleet will be flying the C208s for cargo into Tanana and passengers back to Unalakleet and Anaik will also be flying two C208s for the same cargo into and Passengers back to Aniak.


We will begin this operation starting 0600zulu Friday Jan 4th and we will park all the planes at there start hub by 0600zulu Monday Jan 6th. This will be a FIRST COME FIRST FLY operation and there will only be 6 aircraft provided for the operation. If one of the planes are left at in Tanana then the next pilot may pick up from that location and fly it back to its based location for the operation. The tail #s and flight #s are listed below and these will be the ONLY ones to be flown for this operation. Our professional fleet maintenance techs will have these planes serviced and ready for flight the day of departure so no need to worry about the planes condition.


Each pilot that steps up to help out with the flood relief will be paid according to the time put into the operation and pilot rating for each flight. That bonus pay will be awarded at the end of the operation. The pay will be good so if you wish to help us with this operation please RSVP so we have a head count. Also you may Jump seat (On Us) to one of the locations you would like to start your flights for the operation. Keep in mind again this is a FIRST COME FIRST FLY operation so keep an eye on the timing you choose to jump seat for the flights. Any flights with different tail #s flown will be denied and removed from the flight list (NO CREDIT). Please be considerate of others and wait your turn in line.

Flight plans will be up to the pilot to file as you where hired here for one reason and that is because we hire nothing but the best bush pilots around and we shouldn't have to hold anyone's hand through this. Good luck to all that step up and always remember KEEP THE DIRTY SIDE DOWN!
