As a reminder, If you need to leave the VA for a period of time, greater than 30 days, please email the following people to advise them of your LOA:

The reason we require an email is so that when we go through the roster for minimum flight requirements, we want to ensure that a pilot on LOA does not get a dismissal email and become purged from the roster for inactivity. Once purged from the system, all data for the pilot is lost,including PIREPS, hours, callsign...all of it! By getting an email, we can ensure that you remain on the roster. PLEASE email us when you need a LOA. We cannot guess you are "Busy with work", "Away on vacation/work", etc....

There is a LOA request page designed to automatically email us when you fill out the form....We are working to update this form. I will update everyone when the LOA form is ready again for use. The form will allow you to enter LOA for up to 6 months from date of filing the LOA.
