RE: Schedule and Hub Changes.

The following is for Era Mainline Operations only. Members assigned to Era Wings are not effected, although we recommend you read this NOTAM.

As most of you are now aware, the flight numbers have changed to reflect the real world Era Alaska schedules. As a result, we have moved certain parts of the fleet around and paired down the fleet to coincide with the real world Era Alaska fleet. This has not changed the Era Wings side of the operation at this time, although some minor tweaks will be be happening there shortly as well. In addition, we will be limiting the amount of people at each hub to one person per aircraft so as to ensure that everyone is able to gain access to flights. In VAFS, there is only a finite amount of aircraft and if there is no aircraft at an airport, then flights cannot be operated until one is flown there.

Although, this is not really an issue at the moment, given that we are still a small VA, we are gaining new members and as such are planning ahead. If all our hubs become full, then recruitment would close and a waiting list will be implemented. When a position becomes open in a hub, we will advertise the position for a week first, giving our pilots an opportunity to transfer to a hub they may like to transfer to, and then re-open recruiting, or if there is a waiting list, offer a position to the first on that list.

As mentioned before, the fleet has been moved around and updated. Most of the fleet is true to the real world Era Alaska, except for the King Air, which we are using instead of the Cessna 404, given the lack of any decent models for it, and the high quality of the King Air models for both FS9 and FSX. All tail numbers are true to real life and repaints are being worked on, although these may take some time due to real life events. The following is the fleet breakdown regaring each base (including smaller outstations):

PABE (Including PANI & PASM): 2x C208 (Both based at PANI); 14x C206 (2 based at PANI & 2 based at PASM)
PABR (Including PAOT): 2x B1900C; 5x C208 (3 based at PAOT)
PANC (Including PAFA & PAGA): 6x DHC8-100; 3xB1900D; 3x B1900C (2 based at PAFA); 1x PA-31(Based at PAFA); 1x C208 (Based at PAGA).
PAOM (Including PAUN): 1x B1900C; 3x C208 (2 based at PAUN); 3 PA-31; 1x C206 (Based at PAUN); 1x C185 (Based at PAUN- In storage for winter).

Those who would like to transfer hubs so as to fly your favourite fleet type are free to do so provided that the criteria for flying that type is met. The following is the rank restrictions:

Trainee (0.0-10hrs): C206
Junior First Officer (10.1-25.0hrs): C206, C208
First Officer (25.1-40.0): C206, C208, PA-31, B200
Junior Captain (40.1-55.0hrs): C206, C208, PA-31, B200, B1900
Captain (55.1-100.0hrs): C206, C208, PA-31, B200, B1900, DHC8-100
Senior Captain (100.1hrs+): All Era Mainline Fleet and Era Wings Fleet with no restrictions.

Members who joined before the implementation of this new system are to be assured that although you may have less hours required for the rank or fleet type you are currently at, you will not be demoted, and will still retain your current rank and fleet privileges until you have gained the hours necessary to progress under the new system.

If you would like to transfer hubs, or if you have any questions or suggestions, please contact myself either via forum PM, our Teamspeak channel (209.247.83.121:9211), or email cro@eravirtualairways.org.
