Just a reminder to all Pilots that we started our Weekly Event beginning in February. It begins at midnight on Saturday and ends at midnight the next Sunday morning And, once again, It is a Landing Contest where pilots will fly the same aircraft, to the same airport, with the same weight load, the same fuel load, and attempted to record the "softest" landing rate. Each week the airport and aircraft will change. You'll have 24 hrs. to try as many times as you like. This week you will have the opportunity to fly a circle route with 4 legs in the DC-3. This week we will use the DC-3 just to add some variety to the event. If you are not yet qualified to fly the DC-3 then get going and accumulate those necessary hours! The longest route is only 64 NM.


So, here is the lineup for this weeks event. It will be a circle route and you may fly any leg or legs that you wish and in any order. Fly them all or pick and choose. It's totally up to you! So enjoy the routes!!

1. Kurluk to Kodiak / Flt. Number: EW2 / PAKY - PADQ / DC-3 / PAYLOAD= 170 LBS. / FUEL= 20% / 64 NM Direct.

2. Then Kodiak to Port Lion / Flt. Number: EW5 / PADQ - ORI / DC-3 / PAYLOAD= 170 LBS. / FUEL= 20% / 14 NM Direct

3. Then Port Lion to Kodiak / Flt. Number: EW6 / ORI / PADQ / DC-3 / PAYLOAD= 170 LBS. / FUEL = 20% / 14 NM Direct

4. Then Kodiak back to Kurluk / Flt. Number: EW1 / PADQ / PAKY / DC-3 / PAYLOAD = 170 LBS. / FUEL = 20% / 64 NM Direct

The next Landing Contest will be held on Friday, June 7th. Airports TBA (737's are on the horizon as well as the 185 and the C-130)

Hi Victor,

It is not necessary to have matching textures in order to fly our routes and planes. Just use the default DC-3 that comes with FSX. Hope that helps...
