Having trouble getting started with our custom kAcars Pirep Filing system? Not a problem. Please follow the instructions below to install the program. IF you have any issues with the install, please feel free to open a new thread in the kAcars section and we wil assist you. We hope you enjoy our custom kAcars Client.


Getting Started:

1. Download the latest version of our custom kAcars client. It can be found by going to our site. Login. After Logging in, click on OFFICE -> PROFILE. Then in the middle of the screen Click DOWNLOADS. Then click the kACARS link. THe file should start downloading automattically.


2.Install kAcars. Run the downloaded file. (Picture tutorial coming soon)


3. Open the kAcars client.


4. Click on INFO on the menu bar and select SETTINGS.



5.Enter your Callsign in the PILOT ID Box.
Enter your password in the PASSWORD box.
Ensure the URLBASE BOX reads: http://eravirtualairways.com/en.
Copy url into the BROWSER URL box.
Check theSEARCH FLIGHT # box.
Check the AUTO CHAR LOG IN box (Optional)
Uncheck the PB box.(Optional)
Select your fuel quantity measument (Pounds is preferred)
Click the Save (disk button).



6. Click the LOG IN button on the left side of the application. IF loging was successful, you will see a green checkmark and your profile badge show up in the pilot information box.
Click the CONNECT TO FS button. It should also produce a green checkmark below if it was successful.



7.To Start a flight, Click on the Schedule tab. Locate the flight you want to fly. Click the BID button. Now return tothe PIREP tab.

8. Type in the flight number in the PIREP Data -> FLIGHT NUMBER box. Click the GET FLIGHT INFO box to the right. All of the rest of the schedule information will appear. If not, you entered the wrong flgiht number. Be sure to use the entire number incluing the callsign.



9. Click the Start Flight button. The log will start on the right side of the application. You are free to fly! At the end of the flight click STOP FLIGHT then click FILE PIREP. Continue with your next leg with step 7.



Note: While the flight is progressing you may switch between tabs and even use the built in web browser.
