Hey guys,
Just dropping a quick letter to introduce myself.
I've been with the flight sim community for about 6 years now, so I have quite a bit of experience in several fields. I've done some managing for VA's, climbed up the ranks and reached COO. I am also a center controller in the Anchorage ARTCC.
I lived in Ketchikan, AK back in '08-'09. I got to travel all over the state and do some real world bush flying. So all in all, I love flying in Alaska. I've been looking for an Era VA for a while, and it looks like I found it!
Hope to meet all of you guys soon.
Cheers!
DN

Nice to meet you. It's nice to get some more real world pilots in the VA. I'm the Maintenance Manager helping out the directors so if you have any ?'s or concerns regarding an aircraft, don't be afraid to contact myself or any of the board members. Hopefully we will get a chance to talk more on ts.
See you in the skies!

Hello Diego, It is an honer to have you aboard our VA. We have really worked hard to maintain a professional level here utilizing strict guide lines and following our plan to hire only professionals here. That is the reason for our short roster at the moment. We have an awesome management team with good communication and work well together. I also fly for the VA you happen to be the COO of and that is one tight nit operation and I love it. I am looking forward to chatting with you and the other new pilots soon on teamspeak when time permits.Again welcome aboard and see you in the virtual skies.
Hi Guys ...
Thxs for the chance to fly with ERA
Just a note to introduce myself
I have been a FlightSimmer for what seems like a lifetime .. i can just about remember flying on the Sinclair Spectrum ZX .. now that is showing my age
I am sort of retired ..just work 3 hours a day now ... after some 38 years in the Merchant Navy (UK)
Have flown for a few VS's in my time both offline and online ... but have always preferred to fly low and slow ..so this could be a good VA for me... no "Jumbo's" to get in the way
Hope to catch up with guys online time zones permitting
Cliff

Welcome Cliff ! Glad to have you with us. A few dozen years bobbing around the worlds oceans has probably given you the opportunity to see many interesting ports. Were you able to fly multi-player while onboard ship? Kinda wondered about that as I know some truckers who are able to participate when they are on the road. Anyway, I hope you enjoy Alaska and Era Virtual Airways!

Welcome on board Cliff! We have a load of fun stuff for the future of Era Virtual Airways so keep your eyes peeled and some fun stuff is on the way. We are growing with a strong bunch of good bush pilots that have the drive to fly for one of the top notch Bush Pilot VAs around. We hire nothing, but the best and it is showing. In my eyes its not the quantity of the pilots its the quality of the pilots that make a professional VA.
Its good to have you flying for us.
Thxs Guys
In Answer to dave's Question .. The last ship i was on had a internet connection for the last 5 years or so, but not good enuff to allowe online play .. But i had my own rig setup in may cabin and could fly for an offline VA (3000 Hrs logged with them) and send in the pirep
