The Kenai River Marathon is hosted by the Kenai Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Center in partnership with the City of Kenai and The Kenai Rotary Club, as well as many other community volunteers. They have called on Era Virtual Airways to provide much needed support in transporting supplies for the event. The Marathon requires numerous water supply stands for racers to take needed breaks and needs the supplies for these stands to be flown in prior from Homer, Alaska. In addition to cargo flights will be passenger flights to haul in the workers, racers, and friends/family of the racers. Below is an outline of the event.

Group flights will start each day at 06:00 UTC and 12:00 UTC. You may fly these routes on the specified days only but you may fly them as many times as you want. If you nave any questions, feel free to post them on this thread or contact a staff member for more information.

We hope to see as many pilots on as possible. We will open the teamspeak event channels all 4 days encourage all event participants to use those channels to communicate with one another. Vatsim pilots are encouraged to fly online as well to enhance the multiplayer experience.

Pilots participating will receive an award on their profile for participation. Additional awards will be given out at the end of the event. RSVP to the event in your profile or comment below if you plan to attend.

VATSIM will be the method of flying online, if you choose to fly in formation with any other members. That will allow you to actually see the other pilots as you fly. We will also utilize Teamspeak for group chat while on the ground and flying if members choose to use that method.
